GENEVA, April 20, 2007 /PRNewswire/ -- Addex Pharmaceuticals announced today the successful completion of a Phase IIa proof of concept trial with its lead compound ADX10059 in patients with migraine. The study achieved its primary objective, the absence of pain at 2 hours after dosing, with statistical significance, and also showed trends towards improvement in pain-free status and improvement of migraine pain at other time points. ADX10059 has already recently demonstrated a potential therapeutic benefit in a Phase IIa study in gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), and is currently completing a Phase IIa study in anxiety. .

Modern look for a modern sanctuary
Tomorrow, parishioners at Christ Lutheran Church in Waterloo will celebrate their worship service for the last time with sunlight streaming into the sanctuary through clear glass. If all goes as planned, worshippers at the Anndale Road church, in the Colonial Acres subdivision, will next Sunday be surrounded by the warm glow of red and gold stained-glass windows created by Sarah Hall, a Toronto-based artist. "I wanted people to feel embraced by these windows, and welcomed by them," Hall said in a recent interview. "Warm tones and gold tones tend to do that." This afternoon, Hall will welcome questions about the stained-glass project during a talk at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery in Waterloo. Christ Lutheran's congregation took on the $60,000 project partly to mark the church's 40th anniversary and partly to create a legacy from bequests made by founding members, said Rev.
