| US Army to Use Sunnex Halogen Task Lamps in HMMWV, Bradley Vehicles
NATICK -- Sunnex, Inc., a leading manufacturer of lighting equipment, has announced that its HS Series halogen task lamps will be used by the United States Army to provide task lighting in HMMWVs and Bradley Fighting Vehicles. The selected light is a military standard version of Sunnexs HS Series halogen task lamps, designed to withstand the harshest of demanding conditions. The lamp features a moisture-proof head and delivers focused halogen illumination, flexibility and ease-of-use in a compact, space-saving design that enables versatility in mounting. The U.S. Army will install nearly 1,300 of the Sunnex lamps in HMMWV (High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles) light, highly mobile, diesel-powered, four-wheel-drive vehicles, and in Bradley Fighting Vehicles, which provide protected battlefield transport for infantry squads.

Both feature LED backlighting system that minimizes display thickness, weight, and power consumption while optimizing brightness and impact/vibration resistance. Respectively, 10.4 and 10.6 in. modules consume 2.4 and 2.8 W of energy and deliver brightness levels to 240 and 300 cd/m. Overall module thickness is 2.5 mm.
