After they retired from Georgia Freight early last year, Frank Davis and Dave Anderson started getting together for lunch. They meet like clockwork on Mondays and Fridays (and sometimes Wednesdays). Eleven o'clock those days finds the pair at the buffet of Cafe 222 on Seventh Street, which part of the Rothschild-Pound Inn and Village on Seventh Street. Garry and Mamie Pound own and operate the complex, which they began renovating more than a decade ago and opened in 1995. The restaurant, an 1890s building, was remodeled and reopened about three years ago. "Everything's good," Anderson, trying to think of a favorite dish, said Monday. But one day, banana pudding didn't show up on the line, and Davis was, shall we say, concerned. "I said, 'Who do I have to kill to get the banana pudding back?' I'm not kidding," said Davis who, like his friend, is also retired military.
